New FHA Website
The FHA has a new web site that has many useful aspects. Check it out here www.seattlefloatinghomes.org Specific to the Dock Watch are the link on the left hand side "Safety and Security." From here you can navigate to links to send an incident report, subscribe to the Dock Watch and view the complete archives of the Dock Watch since March 2003.
"The Sweep" -- 6th Annual Lake Union and Portage Bay Cleanup
When: Saturday morning, May 10th: 8:15 am - 8:45 am: volunteer check-in, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm: on-water cleanup, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: celebration and lunch.
Where: Lake Union Park 860 Terry Ave N Seattle, WA 98109 (near the old armory building off Valley St.) Check-in also at Portage Bay site.
What: "The FHA is helping to sponsor the Lake Union and Portage Bay cleanup again this year. Volunteers in kayaks and other small boats will pick up and transfer trash to larger craft for transport to shore. Shore cleanup will be done around the lake involving non-boaters. The FHA Houseboatique is providing free hats for houseboater volunteers."
