Burglary of Appliances on FVE - Appeal for Information

When:  Sometime in November to early December.
Where:  2235 Fairview Ave. E.
What:  "A houseboat has been burgled of the appliances after a renovation, before the new owners moved in. Neighbors in the home across the channel saw two men at around 6 PM. They naturally assumed they were employed by the owners since the new owners are having work done to finish up. One burglar had a construction jacket yellow & brown; they parked their white Dodge van with a rack on top (older van maybe 80’s or early 90’s up above even though there were stalls available down below. They had a key and they even locked up when they were done. All of this leads one to believe it was someone who had worked on the houseboat before and had a key.  Does anyone have any info they can share? Did you see them or remember a white van back when the work was being done?  Needless to say the locks were changed today."

Car theft on FVE

When: Late Saturday or Early Sunday, December 12-13
Where: 2201 Fairview Ave E
What: "Car was stolen. It was recovered near the ship canal in Ballard on Tuesday morning, parked illegally in a driveway. When found it had license plates on it that had been taken from a similar car up on Franklin Ave. Fortunately our license plates were still in our car.  Dead battery. Minor damage inside. This car is easy to break into. I have found the glove compartment dumped twice since last May while parked on FVE."
