BOB LILLY IS FOUND ON FHA WEB SITE

For those who couldn’t find The Lilly Pad, Bob Lilly’s popular column, in the current issue of FHA newsletter, it has moved here to the FHA web site. Why? The newsletter editors think the immediacy of the web pages will allow us to keep Bob’s information in sync with garden activities. And, as in the column from late summer 2007, you can better appreciate the color photo of tomatoes grown in Bob’s gardens on Tenas Chuck.

We believe the new FHA web site is the perfect vehicle to provide houseboat community gardeners with seasonal gardening advice. In the near future the site will be interactive, so gardeners can send Bob gardening questions and receive timely answers.

It is March, but you still have plenty of time to decide on many plantings. So we’ve chosen to repeat 2007 late summer Tomatoes column.

If you are still wondering, where is Bob Lilly? You may run into him at one of the spring plant sales. Yes, it’s again the time of year when you will find well-priced plants for your houseboat garden. To locate a list of plant sales in the Seattle area, Google: The Elisabeth Miller Horticultural Library (please note the spelling). And on your forays, watch out for Bob!
