Dock Rock 2026

Imagine a live paddle-up concert performed from a floating home beside Terry Pettus Park, with the iconic Space Needle rising in the background. It’s a uniquely Seattle experience—one that only our floating homes and the city can do.

Please join your neighbors from all over the city on Friday, July 17th 5pm - 8pm on the water in front of Terry Pettus Park for this awesome evening of live music, community engagement, and celebration on Lake Union. Note: This concert may only be viewed from the water.

The FHA extends its sincere gratitude to Melanie Markle for generously hosting this year's stage at her beautiful home. And thanks to her neighbors too! Attendees can look forward to a diverse set highlighting talented local Seattle artists.

Sustaining Our Community: The Next Generation

While Dock Rock is a highlight of our summer calendar, it also serves a critical role in the long-term strategic vision of the Floating Homes Association.

The FHA is deeply committed to inviting young people to experience this environment firsthand. By engaging the next generation through unique, community-driven events on the water, we are bringing a long-term appreciation for our lifestyle. This outreach ensures that the next generation of floating home residents and preservationists will be ready to carry our community's legacy forward for decades to come.

Event Logistics and Safety Guidelines

To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all attendees, the FHA asks that you review the following logistics:

• On-Water Safety & Monitoring: On-water safety and traffic management will be actively monitored throughout the event. Seattle Harbor Patrol and the U.S. Coast Guard will be present for the duration of the concert to ensure standard maritime safety regulations are maintained. 

• Stand-Up Paddlers (SUPs) & Kayaks: Because Terry Pettus Park remains closed for ongoing construction, attendees launching paddleboards or kayaks must utilize alternative launch sites, such as the Lynn Street park end.

• Motorized Vessels: Motorized boats are welcome to attend but are strictly requested to maintain a safe distance and stay completely clear of the paddle zone. Keeping the area near the stage clear ensures the safety of all non-motorized participants on the water.
