FHA Swallow-box-building Party!

Our local Violet-green and Tree Swallows are cavity-nesters who need shelter to raise their young. We can help them out by providing bird houses over the water. Join FHA members and our expert Eastlake “bird guy” and 40-year floating home resident, Dave Galvin, to do just that!

When: Saturday, March 7, 2026, 10 to Noon

Where: FHA Office, Keasler Cottage, 2329 Fairview Ave E

What to bring: a cordless drill (if you have one) and your enthusiasm to help our local birds!

What we'll do: with supplies provided by Dave and the FHA, we'll construct nesting boxes and deploy them throughout Lake Union and Portage Bay floating homes in time for the April return of our swallows, who over-winter in Central America.
