Welcome Aboard: Meet Our New FHA Office Manager, Lilly Effertz!

We are thrilled to announce that the Floating Homes Association has a new hand at the helm of our daily operations! Please join us in welcoming Lilly Effertz, who is stepping into the role of FHA Office Manager.
Starting immediately, Lilly will be working a few hours a week, taking on the important—and very appreciated—work Sarah Morlidge has done for the FHA over the past few years. (If you missed it, please read this article on Sarah’s impact on the FHA.) And recall Sarah followed in the legendary footsteps of the beloved Jann McFarland, who held the role for decades.
A Familiar Face on the Water
Lilly isn't just our new office manager; she’s our neighbor. Currently residing in Portage Bay, she is already deeply immersed into floating home life - paddle board and all.Â
"I am so excited to take on this role because the community truly feels like a home away from home," Lilly says. "My dog Rover and I have fallen in love with quiet mornings on the dock enjoying coffee, mid-day paddle board sessions, and seeing friendly faces all around! I am looking forward to helping preserve floating home life... so more people can experience the magic of living on the water".
Professional Prowess Meets Community Care
While she loves the "magic" of the water, Lilly brings some serious "mainland" professional experience to the Keasler Cottage. Her background includes:
Corporate Strategy:Â Experience as a Customer Sales Manager at Kraft Heinz and a Senior Analyst at Abbott Nutrition, where she managed complex data and multi-million dollar goals.
Event Expertise:Â Serving as a Marketing Director for St. Jude, where she helped execute large-scale galas and concerts.
Digital Skills:Â Proficiency in social media management, content planning, and data analytics.
What Lilly Will Be Doing
Lilly will be the primary point of contact for FHA general inquiries. Her key responsibilities include:
Membership & Advertising:Â Maintaining our database and following up with members and advertisers.
Invoicing Support:Â Assisting the treasurer with billing for members and docks.
Communication: Helping generate the monthly "email blasts" and newsletters to keep everyone informed about what’s happening around the lake
